False representations by the Crows

This statement is false and misleading.

Is this the kind of ‘good neighbour’ we can expect?

The current Crows Master Plan is worlds apart from the 2018 Kings Reserve Masterplan when it comes to landscaping and vegetation and tree removal.

There is a vast difference in the number of trees proposed for removal by the 2018 Kings Reserve Masterplan and the current AFC Master Plan as seen in the images below. It is disingenuous of the Crows to claim that tree removal is similar under the two proposals.

As per its opening introduction, the 2018 Masterplan ‘recognises the existing qualities of the reserve, including the majestic stands of mature vegetation’. It’s masterplan brief also includes the objective to ‘retain high quality vegetation’ and as can be seen in the images, this was achieved by the developed plan with the majority of the trees being able to be retained.

By contrast, the Crows Master Plan will result in widespread tree loss across the precinct with a majority of the existing mature trees being removed to make way for their second oval and facilities.
